Options Butterfly Spread for Range-Bound Stocks
When a stock is range-bound (trading between clear support and resistance for weeks), buy a butterfly spread centered at the current price. Maximum profit if stock stays near the center at expiration. Much cheaper than iron condors. Use 30-45 DTE. The trade costs about $1-2 per butterfly and can pay $5 at max profit. Win rate lower (40-50%) but the payoff ratio is excellent.
