EMA Crossover Strategy for Swing Trading — Simple but Effective
Uses the 8 EMA and 21 EMA crossover on daily charts for swing trades. Enter long when 8 EMA crosses above 21 EMA with increasing volume. Confirm with RSI above 50 but below 70 (momentum but not overbought). Hold until 8 EMA crosses below 21 EMA. Simple, mechanical, and removes emotion from trading. Average hold 2-4 weeks. Works best on trending stocks.
